Description

Caspar Pituitary Rongeur

The Caspar pattern earns its place on the tray through grip. Fenestrated cup jaws with teeth hold onto disc and cartilage that a smooth cup would let slip, so you remove material in fewer passes and spend less time fishing in the disc space.

The fenestration does a second job: it lets you see through the jaw. In a narrow corridor, being able to look past the instrument instead of around it is worth more than it sounds.

Three angles cover the usual approaches: straight down the barrel, angled up to lift material off the endplate, angled down to work beneath an overhang. Three working lengths take you from a cervical case at 7″ to deep or posterior work at 14″, and tip widths from 2mm to 6mm let you match the bite to the disc space rather than to the instrument you happen to have.

Like every Wiggins rongeur, these are made to be reprocessed, serviced and kept in the set for years.
